First Day of School-2011-2012

How can this be???  My little man is going off to school?  Where has the time gone.  As a mom, I think I say this often and I often remind myself to not say it anymore, but then I say it and it just NEVER ENDS!  So, here I go again, little matthew, all grown up starting his new little life...without me there to hid behind my leg :(.  Brad and I are so excited for him, as we know this will be a huge change for him.  A good change.  So....here we go, onto new and exciting adventures!  The night before Kindergarten.  At least we have a smile!
Sam all ready to get a good nights sleep!  He couldn't be more excited for the return of school and to see all his friends (the whole school) and just be back on a normal routine!
...6:28 a.m. the first day of school, September 1, 2010
This little boy just knows how to break my heart.  He was so excited, but so scared, but just all around emotional.  He pulled himself together and got himself all ready without big monster tears of hesitation.
Sam excited as ever to get back into a school routine!!!  He was so excited.
Hesitant, scared, nervous and excitement!  He is a BIG boy now!!

Matthew's new school outfit that he picked out all himself.
The sunflower that grew and grew and grew all summer....when the flower bloomed, it was time for school.  I think secretly Matthew was hoping the seed wouldn't grow...and found him stepping on it a few times outside!
Brothers!!!

Our bus stop!  Everyone is so cute.  We love Aspen.  She has been a true blessing to Matthew helping guide him on and off the bus.  THANK YOU ASPEN!
Here comes the bus...I did have tears...and so did Matthew :(
Do you see his little face in the window?  Brad and I met the bus at school to walk Matthew to his classroom.

The sign in sheet

The dreadful goodbye...such a sad sad look.  He did tear when we left, as did we....Brad and I celebrated with breakfast and meanwhile I got a call from his teacher that Matthew was doing wonderful on his first day and she was so proud of him.  I will save that message forever!
They did it!  They both had a wonderful day at school.  They both came off the bus, happily with smiles of excitement!!!
