It was a very very long day on Sunday, Feb. 4th, 2007. We awoke (with alarms, not children) at 4:00 a.m. on a very very cold cold morning to arrive at Mitchell International airport by 6:00 a.m. We were welcomed with a 3 hour mechanical delay due to the extreme cold temps, which meant we would miss our connecting flight through Atlanta to Jacksonville. So, our trip was re-routed through Cincinnati and we finally arrived in Jacksonville around 6:30 p.m.
The boys did great, given the circumstances.
It was STILL dark when we got to the airport...but Sam was so excited about the planes he had no idea what time it was.
Sam fell asleep as we were heading for take off...poor little guy was so excited to fly, he didn't even get to experience the live excitement
Matthew, he was so happy (THANKGOODNESS). He just played with his toys, ate bread and played with the mans hair in front of us.
