Meet Polly Anna! She is the newest addition to our family!
The boys are thrilled. Matthew keeps on asking me when do we have to take her back home, in fear that she is not staying. When I remind him that she is not leaving, she is ours, and she will be for a long time (like when he goes to college), he gets that sparkle in his eyes all over again. He is in love with her!

We drove up to Appleton area on Saturday. We picked her out and brought her home. She is predicted to be on the small side, 10-15 lbs at adult age. She is white with beige tinted ears and a diamond on the top of her head! She is a big ball of fur.
The boys were overjoyed that she was coming home with us. It was about a 2 hour ride home, no naps and no lunch. They had fun. I also had to postpone a newborn session due to our rather fast decision, but there was no stopping us as we have been promising the boys a puppy since September 2009. I have to make note of some funnies the boys made as we were driving:
1)"so mom, are we just driving to look or bring one home?"
2) "are we there yet?"
3) "really, are we there yet?"

4) "I don't want to drive this far just to look..."

6) "Matthew, I don't think we brought $$ to bring a puppy home"

11) after we arrived and were playing with the puppies for a while, Sam declared that he needed to go and take this one home. I said, well, puppies cost a lot of money, and I'm not sure if we had enough with us. His eyes opened wide...."well mom, I have money, and I can share if you need me to, wait, I think I saw some money in the car....I'll go look"

-seriously, he was so dead serious. He ran to the car and searched the car for money for us to buy Polly. Meanwhile, Matthew is cuddled up with 3 puppies on his lap just begging for us to bring one home....
12) on the way home, as we were calling family to tell them the "news" we caught Matthew telling people: "yeah, we just drove to this house, very far away, picked out the puppy, grabbed her, and took her from the lady".
She is so cute. I think this may be the dog that I may be able to get all gussied up in pink! I think she may be getting baths frequently in my kitchen sink and I can't wait to get bows in her hair. I'm making her vet appointment this week to see what the heck we are doing right/wrong and how the heck to take care of a puppy when my youngest child is acting out! Brad swears that he is acting like the "middle" child in terms of attention needing.
